Here’s a good tip regarding how to add the latest digg updates on your iGoogle page. There’s an widget for that. I am a huge digg fan, and this way it’s very easy to see what’s new there. If you didn’t know, on iGoogle you can add different widgets, from feeds to weather widgets.
I don’t know if you noticed this little thing in digg’s footer (click on the pic for full size):

There is written “Add Digg to Google“. To do that you simply have to click the link and this is the digg widget that will appear on your iGoogle page:

It’s a very effective widget, you don’t have to lose any more time to enter digg.com and see what’s there.

It’s great to be popular on different social medias, you can get huge traffic from them. I was writing here
how important is building your profile and how to build it, today I would like to tell you another great tip that will help you improve your strength on social medias.
Let’s say that you are an old member on digg and have a very powerful profile with many fans and a lot of activity. You have started a new profile on stumbleupon, and you would like to grow it in a fast manner. To do that you should put a link there on your digg account, a link to your stumbleupon page. If your fans are in love with your activity on digg, they will like what you will do on stumbleupon too, so if they have profiles there you’ll get some fans from the beginning.
And don’t stop here, make more profiles to other social medias, like mixx, propeller, reddit and do the same thing! After that submit daily some great news and you’ll see the traffic coming.

Be careful when requesting stumbles, you can easily get your account and blog banned from stumbleupon,
and that would be a big impact, you could lose traffic and money. Stumbleupon usually gets mad on a blog when it receives stumbles/discovers only from the same group of people. This is considered spam and you must avoid it!
I know good and strong blogs that have been banned from stumbleupon, for example dodevice.com which was is still is a powerful tech related blog, but the traffic had a significant decrease because of that ban.
How should you protect your account and blog? Well don’t ask for stumbles anymore, make some big breaks in requesting stumbles and naturally grow your profile! Stumble/discover/review everything you like! Spend some minutes per day doing that, and you’ll grow in strength.

As I said in the past, stumbleupon is a great way to receive traffic to your blog. I really love it, it’s good for bloggers and for surfers too, you can surf the internet in a very easy way and find only the things you are interested in. But be careful, stumbleupon is addicting :D.

Ok, so you have a blog, and you stumble a great article of yours. People like it, and you receive traffic. Be intelligent, convert this traffic into money.
I think that most of you use adsense, it’s so popular. Well, adsense is good too, it can generate some money but stumblers usually don’t stay much on a page, they just read the article, see what’s the deal with it, rate it or not and then they hit the “Stumble!” button and go on another page. This is how stumbleupon works, and because of that you won’t receive so many clicks on your ads.
The best way to convert stumbleupon traffic into money is using a CPM ( cost per mile ). You just have to find a website that pays you for holding its banner on your blog (don’t worry, usually these kind of banners are small and they won’t disturb anyone). There are many websites that pay you a certain amount per 1000 views of their banner. The best one I know is http://tribalfusion.com/ but the problem with this one is that you get approved very hard. Anyway, google will always help you.
So now that you know, go and write a great article and submit it for stumbleupon!

Social media websites are great sources of free traffic for your blog! So, don’t miss this chance. There’s not a big secret how they work. You should have a great article, submit it to a social media website ( like digg, stumbleupon, reddit ) and then, if the people will like it, they will rate it and visitors will come. If you get popular on digg, you may get around 60k visitors and you can convert them in returning visitors if you have interesting content. That’s nice, isn’t it?

But a good article isn’t always enough. Another thing that you should know and do is building your profile! Well, that’s all about your activity there, how many friends you have on the respective social media website and so on. More friends = more people to rate your articles = more visitors = more returning visitors = money and satisfaction.
So, how do you build it? This takes time, usually, older profiles that had some activity too rank better and have more authority.
Another tip is to tell your friends about your profiles, or write on your blog (if you have one) like I wrote here. Who knows? You may get some friends from your blog too!
Another thing that you should know - don’t abuse! That’s right, don’t abuse! Don’t submit every single article from your blog. You should select only the ones that you think are interesting. Yes, I know … you would say “all my articles are interesting” so that’s why it’s good to ask a friend what he thinks about that article.
And don’t forget, your profile is like your blog. Keep it fresh, have some activity there!
