We all know that content is king, but what about the blog’s design, is it important?
Along with your content, the blog’s design is a major factor that influences the traffic and returning visitors. A blog can be compared with a book. Let’s say that you are in a library and you want to buy an interesting book but you don’t know any good titles. Then, what are you looking for? I am sure that a nice envelope attracts your attention, you pick it up, read its title and if you find it interesting you buy it. But there, on the shelf, might be more interesting books but if they don’t have any nice envelopes, they won’t attract your attention at all.
The same thing can be applied in blogging. You need to have a nice and clean template, user-friendly that attracts your visitors attention - the good way not the bad way like a very colorful blog with all kind of bad colors for your eye or flashing stars.
But why should it be unique? It costs a lot of money, I know that, but if you really want to start a project that will become successful, picking your correct template is the first step that you should do. Imagine like wearing the same clothes like your best friend. They are nice, but if someone else wears them there is a problem. Try to give your blog a little personality. A premium or even a free template can easily be personalized if you have basic skills in photoshop and coding.
